Handling is a revelation. In terms of handling, the 990 Adventure is a revelation too and compares very favourably to 2018 models. As a proper off-road capable adventure bike, the bike comes with the 21/18 wheel combination which should make it a little less stable at higher speeds, but there isn’t any sign of this.

The 890 Adventure has a sporty and agile feel and is comfortable enough to ride all day. The new 43mm Apex front forks now include separate compression and rebound damping adjusters, and the rear shock offers adjustable preload and rebound. The suspension works better than I expected.
